A Hurricane Watch is in effect from High Island, TX to Cameron, LA, with Tropical Storm and Storm Surge Warnings from High Island to the Cameron/Vermilion Parish line.
🌀 Edouard: 40 mph winds, moving WNW at 7–8 mph. Landfall is expected over Jefferson County, TX, between High Island and Sabine Pass, then inland toward the Conroe/Huntsville area Wednesday.
🌧️ Rainfall: 3–6″ likely across parts of Chambers, Liberty, San Jacinto, eastern Montgomery, eastern Harris and eastern Galveston Counties, with isolated 6–9″ totals possible. Heavy rain could spread west of I-45 and north of I-10 Tuesday night into Wednesday.
🌬️ Winds: 15–25 mph for much of the area, with stronger gusts in squalls. Tropical-storm-force winds are most likely near the eastern portions of Chambers and Liberty Counties.
🌊 Coastal Flooding: Minor flooding is possible along Bolivar and parts of Galveston Bay. 2–4 feet of storm surge is possible east of High Island, including Sabine Lake.
⚠️ Remember: The storm is not a point. Impacts can extend well away from the center and far inland.
